💧 Water Calculator

1. Parameters

Range: 10.0% to 38.0% (0.5% step)
Range: 30.0% to 40.0% (0.5% step)
Range: 5 to 65 t/h (5 t/h step)

2. Results

Water per ton—
Water per hour—
Water per minute—
Time to fill one 50 L container—

3. Variation by machine throughput

Shows the entered throughput plus two reference points below and above it, in 5 t/h intervals.

Formulas used — Water

Water per ton = [1,000 × (100 − initial moisture) ÷ (100 − target moisture)] − 1,000

Hourly flow = water per ton × throughput per hour

Flow per minute = hourly flow ÷ 60

🧪 Inoculant Calculator

1. Label data and target

Choose according to the unit stated on the label.
× 10CFU/g
Ex.: 1 × 10¹¹ CFU/g.
× 10CFU/t
Enter the amount of CFU to apply per ton.
Total solution volume to be applied per ton of grain.

2. Application result

Product per ton—
Solution per ton—
Solution per hour—Based on the hourly throughput entered in the water calculator
Product per hour—
Solution concentration—
Applied target—

Calculation used

Product dose per ton = target (CFU/t) ÷ product guarantee (CFU/g or CFU/mL).

Solution per hour = solution volume (L/t) × throughput (t/h).

Solution concentration = product dose per ton ÷ solution volume per ton.

🌽 Particle Size — DGM and DPG

Calculator based on the sieving method used by Granucalc/Embrapa and ANSI/ASAE S319.4 methodology. Roll-range diagnosis uses operational references MillS.

1. Drying and moisture determination

Protocolo MillS: 150 g.
Operating protocol: 110 °C.
StepElapsed timeWeight (g)
1st weighing60 min
2nd weighing75 min
Final weight used—
Calculated moisture—
Calculated dry matter—
Stability—

Operating criterion MillS: two consecutive weighings with a maximum variation of 0.1 g. If the reduction is greater, repeat 15-minute cycles until stable.

2. Sieve weighing

* The pan uses 37 µm as the reference opening. In custom mode, the calculation is updated according to the selected sieves; the next larger reference opening for the largest sieve is defined by the available series.

3. Particle-size result

DPG—Geometric Standard Deviation

📘 Manual MillS — sampling, drying, weighing and sieving
  1. Sampling: build a representative sample with small collections at different times during the batch. Mix without crushing the particles.
  2. Subsample: separate 150,0 g and record the initial weight.
  3. Drying: spread the sample evenly and dry at 110 °C por 60 minutos.
  4. First weighing: remove, allow to cool protected from moisture, and weigh.
  5. Stability: return for 15 minutos, cool and weigh again. Repeat 15-minute cycles until two consecutive weighings vary by no more than 0,1 g.
  6. Moisture: DM (%) = dry weight ÷ initial weight × 100. Moisture (%) = 100 − DM.
  7. Sieving: after drying and cooling, sieve without crushing the sample. Recover and weigh all material retained on each sieve and in the pan.
  8. Recording: enter retained weights. The calculator automatically determines percentages, DGM and DPG.

Note: this is an operating protocol MillS for field standardization. For official laboratory reports or research, use the analytical method/standard required by the responsible laboratory.

High-moisture grain: higher moisture may increase retention on the upper sieves. Interpretation should consider moisture, roll configuration, adjustment and material condition. No automatic mathematical correction of DGM for moisture is applied.
